Explore Robotics and Coding, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics at Berkwood Hedge School’s Summer Camp! Located in the beautiful Berkeley Hills, we offer a dynamic environment complete with playtime, aftercare, and athletics. Children will engage in indoor and outdoor activities including, tinkering, building, coding, robots, crafting, painting, and so much more! Campers will cultivate friendships, develop social and athletic skills, and collaborate on creative science projects. Is your child curious, creative, playful? Join us in this innovative Summer Camp.
Our summer program brings together robotics and coding, art and design; engineering, computer science, and math to promote curiosity, discovery, and STEAM literacy. Campers learn how to solve problems as they explore the role engineering plays in their lives and the world around them. Through creative hands-on coding and engineering adventures, students build 21st century skills as they practice critical thinking to work through challenges together. Campers will learn to collaborate, communicate, solve problems and present their findings in an Engineering Showcase. Campers will have an opportunity to do additional art projects and/or to participate in our athletic and field games program in the afternoons.
8:00-9:00a Free Extended Care and Camp Rituals
9:00a -3:00p STEAM Activities with Arts, Crafts, Play, and Athletics – Each week we will focus on, and different art and engineering projects from fashioning space gloves to building rockets. Design, innovation, and imaginative thinking is at the center of our morning activities. Discover recycled racers, investigate electrical engineering, and express yourself creatively. Through a variety of camp games and team sports, we will build friendships, come together for storytelling, camp songs, and play games to celebrate our community. Lunch will take place from 12p-1p with open art, math games, and athletics.
