7/2/2023 to 7/7/2023
Camp Go Beyond offers an opportunity for up to 140 children and counselors with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD; specifically Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis) to enjoy a fantastic camp experience. Supported by the IBD Summer Camp Foundation (Camp Go Beyond [https://www.campgobeyond.org]) and the Taylor Family Foundation (The Taylor Family Foundation (ttff.org)) , the Camp is free of charge to all campers with IBD who wish to attend. The Taylor Family Foundation provides beautiful Camp Arroyo as a resource for a number of summer camps for children with chronic disorders including those with inflammatory bowel disease.
Camp Go Beyond has tremendous meaning and impact for the children. It gives them confidence and allows them to be with other children and counselors who face the same challenges every day. They get and receive support from/to each other and end up having a life-altering experience!
The camp welcomes new (and former) campers with IBD. The camp is also seeking volunteers as counselors, interested in spending a week (July 2-7, 2023) helping to nurture and guide these campers. Applications for registration are available on the camp website (Camp Go Beyond).
